The purpose of the Clinical
Register of Advanced Hypnotherapists (CRAH) is
to promote the art and science of hypnotherapy
for the public benefit; to promote research and
education in hypnotherapy and disseminate the
results of any such research as well as to
promote high standards of training and practice
in hypnotherapy for the public benefit.
If you are looking for
professional help via hypnotherapy, then this
site will help you to discover the location of
competent and properly trained hypnotherapists
in your area. The directory of professional
hypnotherapists lists the practitioners name,
location and contact details.
CRAH was a supporter of UKCHO
(UK Confederation of Hypnotherapy
Organisations), which was an umbrella body for
the hypnotherapy profession in the United
Kingdom. The UKCHO Register has now been passed
to CNHC (Complementary and National Health Care)
which is recognised by the Dept of Health. CNHC
maintains the Public National Register of
Hypnotherapists. Registrants on the CNHC
Register are deemed to have recognised levels of
training and competency and have agreed to
Voluntary Self Regulation of the profession.
CRAH is committed to
maintaining a high standard of professionalism
amongst its members, all of whom are fully
covered by hypnotherapist's professional
indemnity insurance and committed to ongoing
training. It is only possible to join the
Register and the hypnotherapists directory via
invitation or evidence of successful training by
an accredited hypnotherapy school. Many CRAH
members have been trained by the National School
of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy or the Cambridge
College of Hypnotherapy. Any complaint against a
member will be thoroughly investigated and any
necessary action taken to ensure the continued
integrity of the Register.
Any complaints must be
submitted in writing and addressed to
CRAH, 24 Milton Road, Impington, Cambridge CB24
9NF
CRAH is not a general
hypnotherapy register, that is, it is not simply
a directory of hypnotherapists that any
individual can apply to join. Each of our
members is known to have received thorough
training in hypnosis and hypnotherapy, is
competent and conscientious, and abides strictly
by the code of ethics shown elsewhere on this
site. They are also committed to ongoing
training and supervision, thus ensuring that you
receive a safe and sound therapy.
